EBARA CORPORATION
EBARA CORPORATION (EBARA) donated pumps to the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) on February 25 as part of international cooperation activities through technical guidance. Pump classes are held at ITC, and about 100 students take the classes each year. The objective is to deepen their understanding of pump structure, learn how to control them, and so on by experiencing real pumps during the classes.
A seminar on pumps was held at ITC for two days, on February 24 and 25, and about 90 university students and about 25 people from government agencies and the private sector attended it. During the seminar, a lecture was held centered on basic knowledge of pumps and the basic plan of pump sites that are used for water service facilities. At the final stage of the seminar, the pumps were presented to them.
EBARA has sought to deepen mutual understanding around the world through international cooperation, including technical guidance. Since the establishment of the EBARA Hatakeyama Memorial Fund (EHMF) in 1989, EBARA has held seminars more than 250 times around the world, and more than 11,000 people in total have attended them. In FY2015, a total of five seminars were held.
Going forward, EBARA will continue contributing to the development of Southeast Asian countries through international cooperation activities such as technical seminars, rather than by merely providing products and services including pumps.
