EBARA CORPORATION
With regards to the EBARA Group companies, we would like to announce the current operations of manufacturing sites as follows in accordance with the orders by the government in each country along with the outbreak of COVID-19.
On April 1, one employee at our overseas office, on April 25 one employee at Japan office, on May 22 two employees and on June 5 one employee at overseas office tested positive. Hoewever, it does not affect the business operation.
The EBARA Group will be continuously cautious of the future change and situation as well as implement actions to minimize any kind of risk which might affect our customers. We will appreciate for your kind understanding and cooperation from all the business partners and stakeholders.
The status of factory operations
1. Japan
All the factories are in normal operation, although parts supply imported from overseas is being affected
2. Overseas
In some countries such as in Europe or the United States etc, a stay-at-home order and curfew are imposed by the government or municipality. Due to those regulations, there are factories operating below capacity with reduced staffing and business hours, however continuing to run.
The information above is as of June 9. Please kindly understand that the status might be changed depending on the future situation or regulation for each country.
3. Impact on the business
In the midst of the spread of COVID-19 all over the world, as we cannot prospect when the situation returns to normal, the impact on the business performance of our group companies is uncertain and reasonable calculation is difficult at the moment caused by domestic and overseas market trends, procedure of constructions, or restricted movement of people. Therefore, the 1-2Q and the full-year forecast have been changed to pending when we announced the results of FY2020 1Q on May 13, 2020. We are planning to announce a revised forecast when possible.
