EBARA Pumps Americas Corporation (EPAC), one of the EBARA Group’s overseas group companies, has signed a contract with one of major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM*) of custom heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. EPAC will partner to provide custom solutions for an advanced, flexible chiller system design for new data centers of its client.
1. Background
In the USA, industries such as defense, HVAC, transportation, and data communication continue to grow their businesses, and many OEMs of essential equipment have continued to expand production. Hence, the demands for chiller and other ancillary equipment, including pumps, have consistently increased along with needs for more data centers. Over the last three years, EPAC has achieved $1million annual sales and realized 400% growth in its OEM segment.
2. About solutions
EPAC has expanded cooperation with the Industrial Business Unit (IBU) of EBARA Pumps Europe S.p.A. The collaboration between two companies is driving sales growth in the US market. With the understanding of the OEM’s operational and design requirements, EPAC closely worked with a support of IBU team to make custom product for the OEM. The customized features effectively reduced manufacturing and production costs, as well as improved the overall reliability of the pump and motor, and inherently the OEM’s custom chiller.
3. Future plan
OEM business continue to drive themselves to constantly increase the reliability and incrementally innovate the solutions that they provide to the market. Based on its technology and trust from the market since the foundation, EBARA will strengthen the global product development system that enables to cater needs of local market in a fast and flexible manner.
