Happy New Year. Last year, as the world situation changed dramatically, people’s lifestyles were affected by soaring resource prices, exchange rate fluctuation, and natural disasters. We cannot still ignore the threat of Covid-19. Amid the business environment like this, we continued our business and supported society and industry thanks to our employees and their families, business partners, suppliers, and all those who support our business. Thank you very much.
2022 was the final year of E-Plan 2022, which was set as the first medium-term management plan for E-Vision 2030. Although we experienced severe business situations such as shortage of materials, raising prices, restricting travels, rapid depreciation of the yen, as well as inflation, we were able to steadily proceed with measures based on E-Plan 2022. As we announced in November 2022, we will expect the 2022 results will exceed those of 2021 for orders received, revenues, and operating income.
2023 will be the first year of E-Plan 2025 that is the second phase of E-Vision 2030. The theme for three years from now is to strengthen market-in strategy to focus on what our customers want. In order to realize, we have changed our business structure according to the End-users market basis from this year. I believe that doing so will lead to the development and offer of truly required products and services by our customers, strengthen our competitiveness, and enable us to continuously support society.
A new year has begun. The eighth wave of contagion continues in Japan. In order to realize EBARA’s vision to become what we want to be as the Company, it is necessary for all of you to maximize your strengths in daily jobs. Take care of yourself as well as your valued ones to support society and industry. Let’s support the globe with our technology and passion!
