Support for UN Global Compact

EBARA Group supports the United Nations Global Compact, an initiative for companies that endeavor to align their business activities and strategies with ten principles in four areas.
EBARA Corporation became a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact in June 2009. We act in line with the ten principles of the Global Compact and continuously implement improvements to our business activities.

Support for the TCFD

EBARA announced its endorsement of the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) in May 2019. We were a part of Japan’s TCFD Consortium and report in line with the TCFD recommendations.

Off-Grid Water Alliance

Ebara Pumps Europe S.p.A., an overseas group company of EBARA CORPORATION (EBARA), is pleased to announce that it has become a member of Off-Grid Water Alliance.

Keidanren’s “Challenge Zero”

We have announced our participation in the “Challenge Zero” initiative by the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), to realize decarbonization, and have published innovation challenges on the Challenge Zero website.

Human Capital Management Consortium

Participated in the Human Capital Management Consortium, which was established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Financial Services Agency as observers to share advanced examples of human capital management practices, discuss inter-company cooperation, and examine effective information disclosure.

Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs)

Signed a statement of support for the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) and is committed to act in accordance with the principles.

Business for Marriage Equality

We express our support for Business for Marriage Equality, which promotes the legalization of same-sex marriage in Japan.

100% Paternity Leave Declaration

We believe that men taking childcare leave is an important indicator for monitoring our efforts to support diverse working styles and employees. In 2024, we endorsed the Work-Life Balance Co., Ltd.’s "100% Paternity Leave Declaration."

Keidanren’s “Challenge to 30% by 2030”

We express our support for the Keidanren (Japan Business Federation)’s “Challenge to 30% by 2030” to increase the ratio of women on the board of directors to 30% or more by 2030.
