EBARA CORPORATION (“EBARA”) gave a plant tour for university students from Laos at its Futtsu Plant on Friday, May 23. The participating students were fascinated to view rarely visible aspects of manufacturing large-sized pumps and to see a cutaway sample of the pump that demonstrated the pump structure, and eagerly listened to explanations.
The students who joined the tour were competent engineering students expected to play active roles in Laos in the future. They visited Japan under the JENESYS 2.0 program※. The plant tour took place in response to a request from the town government of Kyonan-machi, located just to the south to the city of Futtsu in Chiba Prefecture. The local government welcomes JENESYS 2.0 visitors learning about Japanese manufacturing and the spirit behind it by taking a look at Japanese companies and products with some of the world’s most cutting-edge technologies. This plant tour helped the participating Laotian students to deepen their understanding about Japanese manufacturing as well as EBARA’s products.
The EBARA Group has more than 50 years of history after setting up its first base in Southeast Asia. It will offer pumps and many other products and services to contribute to social and industrial development in Southeast Asia and in other parts of the world.
