EBARA CORPORATION (“EBARA”) ,a leading pump manufacturer, held seminars on pumps under the theme “Water Supply” on February 11 and 12, at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Approximately, 40 participants from government agencies and private-sector companies, and around 100 university students attended.
Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh is achieving rapid development, with a string of high-rise buildings and shopping centers being constructed one after another. At these seminars, lectures focused on the practice of selecting intake pumps for water supply facilities and introducing pumps which deliver water to the upper floors of buildings.
EBARA has continued deepening its mutual understanding mainly with Southeast Asian countries through technical guidance and other forms of international cooperation. Since the launch of the EBARA Hatakeyama Memorial Fund in 1989, it has organized up to 246 seminars at different locations in Southeast Asia, welcoming upwards of 11,000 participants. This year, EBARA is set to give seminars all over the world in Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Colombia, Peru and other locations.
EBARA will continue to contribute to the development of Southeast Asian countries not only by offering pumps and other products and services, but through technical seminars and other international cooperation activities.
