Stable supply of fertilizers

High-pressure pumps help deliver food across continents

Large tracts of fertile farmland, and high-pressure pumps. These two seemingly unconnected things are bound by fertilizers, and we have a history of over 40 years in the development of pumps.

Fertilizer production plants use strongly alkaline and volatile ammonia as raw materials for urea fertilizers and, therefore, require high reliability and performance to ensure that leakage is prevented. EBARA's high pressure pumps are used in the process of producing these fertilizers. These high-pressure pumps are extremely powerful and capable of pumping up to the height of Mt. Fuji (3776 m) or higher. Fertilizer production involves a chemical reaction process that requires very high pressure.

As of 2023, we have achieved delivery of 210 ammonia pumps and 267 carbamate pumps worldwide. Our centrifugal pumps boast an overwhelming share of more than 90% in new plants established after 2000. Our pumps continue to operate today with the aim of ensuring a stable supply of food throughout the world.
