There has been an increase in the need to reduce the operating water level and increase the drainage capacity as a countermeasure against land sinking and torrential rains. In order to lower the water level and increase the drainage capacity in an existing water suction tank, it was conventionally necessary to take measures against vortices using civil engineering structures. However, a guard mouse can be installed in the suction piping of the horizontal-shaft pump to prevent vortices.

1. Shortening of work period and construction cost
Compared to conventional countermeasures against vortices using civil engineering structures, this product does not require work inside the suction tank. This shortens work periods and reduces construction costs.
